an exploration of a possible conspiracy @ 09:21 am

I'm about to retire my email address at the university *sniff. Apparently I have until the 28th of January. So in an effort to switch my yahoogroups emails to go to my gmail account, I went into the email account preferences and tried to change it, and I smell a conspiracy brewing. Ever snce I've tried to change my email address to their chief evil competitor, gmail, my account change page has become inaccessible. I can't even view my settings. I know the email settings haven't been changed because I continue to get messages from my lists. Interesting, very very interesting.

Bad Yahoo!!!!!!! No soup for you!!!!!!

I really think email is one of those things that's important enough to pay for. That might just be me though. If I were in your shoes I'd get a domain through www.gandi.net and email through www.tuffmail.com.

I've been using gmail for a couple of days now. I'm really enjoying it, especially since it provides for much space and even allows you to expand it for less than creating a tuffmail account. I think that for a user that needs ots of advanced emailing features, tuffmail could be a good thing, but for me, I think I can do as good with gmail as I could with tuffmail. I'll probably use the space, especially with my mailing list stuff I do.

Might get a domain though, that might be cool. Thanks for the suggestion.
