pain, blessings, Neil, and worry @ 09:12 pm

Current Mood: worried worried

My elbow is much worse tonight for some reason. I've taken pain medication, but it hurts whenever I move it or touch it even. I got to hang out with my friend Neil who is a med student, and we talked about why it might be hurting, and having the ulnar nerve being impinged is not a good thing. This explains the pain I feel all the way down the right side of my arm and even on the middle part of my elbow. I'm still up in the air as to whether or not I'll feel well enough to go to church, but I really hope that I can go. Either way, I've asked to receive a blessing of health, and so that will be a good thing I hope. I'll talk about what blessings for health are when I can type more, but suffice it to say that if it wors and the Lord willing, it could cause my recovery to be quicker. I will be praying that I don't have to deal with it much longer because it's really discouraging and painful.

Nel and I went to Chilli's last night and it was good to catch up with him. We played no cribbage, but I hope I can play a hand or two before I leave for TN. And I hope I am done soon so I can see Holly again soon. It's hard being apart.

Well, can't type anymore. It's all I can do to read LJ Idol entries. Commenting is definitely out of the question. More soon.

You should really, really put an ice pack (or a bag of frozen peas in a rag) on it if you haven't yet. If you can apply cold for 15 minute intervals, you should be able to get the swelling down, which would ease the discomfort considerably, I imagine. I hope it starts to mend soon.

I try to put ice on it when it hurts for about 20 to 25 minutes or so. Seems to help for a while until I aggravate it again. Very tenuous now, but it seems to be all right now. Still need to take t easy today though ... I don't want to make it worse and lose the progress I've gotten. Thanks for the advice and the comment.
