The blind dude gets a camera and other tales of woe @ 10:40 am

Current Mood: cheerful cheerful

The contemplation of things to come as it is in Brough brings me here to this journal.

That, and the blind dude has now mastered the strangeness of the camera phone and how to get the pictures from the phone to the computer. More about that later.

It hasn't been a very eventful day these past few days. Arkansas lost, again, to Florida. I shudder to think what their rank will be later today in the polls, but two losses at home won't bid well for them at all I don't think.

Helen and I worked on analytical chemistry last night, which was, as usual, very exciting. Yeah right. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up some day and do some of these problems for the next problem set, I just seem to be falling behind in a lot of things for some reason. I can't wait to get out of school and into a paying job where I just et to work 9 to 5 and then come home and not have to work on anything for work, I hope.

Not only did we have fun with analytical yesterday, but we enjoyed taking pictures of my favorite person, Fiona.

I've been waiting for days for my blootooth port, the thing that allows the phone to communicate with the computer without wires. ITs pretty amazing actually. Anyway, I have many pictures to post in the next few days, most of them ass related, but that's not for todays entry. Today, by popular demand, its all Fiona pictures, Fiona's my guide dog. I swear you wouldn't know she was a guide dog as much as she lounges around

She's also very interested in little furry toys (and socks I might add) that when people come over, she has to show them off. Unfortunately, this morning, I found lots of little bits of this toy on my floor, suppose I'll either have to sew it up or throw it away and get a new one which she'll rip up again at some point when she gets bored.
Fiona loves to play with this really disgusting toy that she likes for some odd reason.

And finally, the partnershiip that lasts, me and Fiona. She's great she is.

Methinks I'll have great fun showing everyone the world that I live in not only with words but also with a picture or two. I've got some pictures of the trip, but I'll wait till I'm even more bored than I am to post those (i.e. when I get another entry together.

I can't think of anything else to write about. Planning on doing lots of work today hopefully. The weather perports this day to be a beautiful one, wish I could go outside and just sit and study or something. My braille computer doesn't like that too much though so probably won't be doing that. More later.

Those are some damn good pictures, given that they come from a picture phone. Anyway, where can I get a bluetooth port so I can do the same for my camera phone and how much do they usually cost?

I got mine from
Buy.com for about 24.95 with a $5 rebate which I'll probably not send in because it'll be a pin in the ass. It just plugs into my usb port and you install drivers. That is, if your phone has a bluetooth port on it. I don't know your type of phone so you'd have to call your mobile provider and see if it supports bluetooth. Otherwise, you'll want to get a data cable. The advantage of bluetooth is taht I can use my phone from my pocket and send files, up to 30 ft away. I'm also getting a bluetooth headset which'll be wireless as well. But yeah, just plug in your USB blooth thingy and it works. You can even make your phone connect to the internet so if you have a laptop, you can be out in the woods and writing in your lj, coolness.

yes, my phone is bluetooth compatible. I wanted to buy some wireless headset that uses it, but it's 135 dollars. Heh.

You can get cheaper ones than that, you just need to know where to look

Ooo Fiona pics! Totally cute, she is. Guess this is what happens when you give blind dudes cameras--they actually take cute Fiona-with-the-red-nose pics

There's a whole method to taking photos, and I think I'm kind of getting it, kind of.
