sleeping difficulties @ 04:07 am

I haven't slept well at all. Tossing, turning, wondering why I can't sleep, I decided I would try to write in here and tire myself out enough to go back to get some blessed sleep. I wonder if its the pain medicine thought I always thought that stuff made you more tired. It also could be other things on my mind but who knows. I'm just tired of my semi fever and racing pulse, which has slowed down now to about 100, down from 120. I need to try to get sleep now, no matter how useless watching the "SHop At Home" network really is. Never knew someone coud talk at 1 a.m. nonstop about jewelry for two hours. what's the world coming to?

It pains me to know you had to resort to HSN. LOL
I'm going to leave my cell on at night in case boredom, like that, takes you over once again. Don't worry about waking me. Chances are greater that Toonces is already depriving me of sleep. I'd feel more sound entertaining you in these times rather than a full night wink.

it wasn't the home shopping network but the "shop at home network" I could call it the hsn though, the hick shopping network, lol.

I like how perky and antimated they are when they talk about jewelry. They open their eyes reallly wide and gesture with their hands a lot.

You need to get better so Fiona can walk around more. She's fat. Huge, really. :) Email me your address so I can send you a care package. My email is: camille_edmison@hotmail.com

Have you ever tried any kind of relaxation techniques such as listening to and absorbing yourself in relaxing music or focusing on your own breathing or on something else monotonous around you? These things might help keep your mind off of the pain and all.

Okay, I have lots of experience with this:
First, try, if you can to set up a routine before bed. I bought a "sound spa" from Target (do you have those? if not go to Walmart) That way I have a sound that signifies bed time to my body. You could also just listen to music. I have to take Tylinol PM every night, so I always drink milk, drinking something before bed might help too.
I always read a book before bed. (Usually I listen to my BrailleNote read it, but whatever.) Reading the same passage does the same thing as the others. Mainly, I try to get really relaxed so I can sleep. Maybe you could talk to your doctor about a sleep aid? I can understand not wanting to be on lots of meds, but until you get rid of the pain, it might help.
Also, doing your classes and work should help. If you can do exercises in a chair, it might help to do those during the day. Like I say, I understand where you're coming from.
Hugs and prayers for some restful sleep!
Nickie
