a world of interesting factoids about nothing and everything

Absolutely amazing. My listing of Against All Enemies was active for 57 minutes. Man this book is hot, wow! Grand total I paid for the book $3, cheap hardback let me tell ya. So now I get to ship it out to Georgia tomorrow.

Sitting here, a kitty cat on my left laying placidly on the couch and a hot cup of coffee on the right. Today, my mom, sister, and Miss Marsha ™ are at church to be followed ty

The Tea.

Its an anual tradition at our church. Basically lots of women in the church construct a table with a certain theme and have good tea and tasty fod that they also prepare to go along with the food. There's tables themed on The Beatles, fly fishing, and who knows what else. My mom and Miss Marsha ™'s table is the weeding table. Miss Marsha ™ went all out this time, not like she doesn't do this normally :), and made a miniature wedding cake with a couple of teers and columns, flower arrangements, and who knows what else. I'll have to get them to take pictures so I can show you all, but I'm sure they'll be the TABLE TO BE AT. Oh yeah, she even dipped strawberries in melted chocolate. My mom made our Aussie scones, and I think they've got different sandwiches that're going to be made by other people. Thus begins Phase 1 of the wedding festivities.

Phase 2 of what I'll call Wedding Extra 2004 is on Friday. Its the Engagement announcement dinner which you would think would be a simple affair with family and good food only. You would be wrong. Yes, both of the families will be there, but Miss Marsha ™ since it's at her house, is going all out. I believe the menu is Beef Tenderloin with Cream Broulet for dessert. She's already set the formal dining table so she could explain to the paper what the settings would look like. Hank, Philip's dad, wonders what will happen if dust accumulates on the plaes, and luckily, Miss Marsha ™ says she'll wipe the plates clean, especially since she set the table two weeks before the event. Should be definitely interesting, and definitely something we don't do in Arizona. THis thing will definitely be a learning experience and as I said in my subject line, amazing!!

More soon.

Wow. Disturbing. Wow.

I can only hope that if and when I get married, I can shed the drama, set a date, keep the divorced folks away from each other, trip out my psycho-religious relatives by serving booze at the reception and have my bridesmaid(s) wear red dresses or whatever the hell color they want. I hope I can keep it real. I mean, I know Lou will show up in some jungle-print garb or some such other disturbing fabric print, and knowing that why bother with super formal other crap. I mean, seriously, when your gramma shows up in full-body coverage jungle print, you just gotta drop the pretenses. (case in point, my cousin Stef's wedding, which was nice, but the wacky relatives really keep it all in perspective.)

Either that, or I will get married with a small ceremony with only my closest friends and family, so that it can be more about me and him than "The Perfect Wedding Scenerio." No offense to your sister, I am sure she wants it done up to her view of the right way. But witnessing the drama other people go through, it really makes me want to gag.

On that note, I'd also like to add that I am happy for Kels and I'll sign off by saying that even though I am a girl, if I were anywhere near there, I'd rather by buying booze, dog-hunting and domolishing with the boys.
