Just thought I'd write aand give my empathies.
I can say that when my grandma died almost two years ago, what did help was the fact we knew the time was near, since she was having kidney failure and such when it was happening. I was lucky in the fact that I was able to say goodbye to her a week before it actually happened, and for the most part, we were able to go through the grieving process before she went, and then feel it a relief that she was able to go go be with grandpa in peace when the time came, since she was essentially looking forward to going by the end of it all. In fact, she was going to go for a dialysis on the day she died, but, when they tried to get the machines working, something in the mechanism broke down, or something. She did not want to go through this dialysis or anything more anyway. So, when the machine wouldn't work, and they had to disconnect her or something, there was this smile on her face like, "Yay! It didn't work! I get to go home finally!" And, she was gone peacefully not long after.
My positive light goes to you and your family right now, especially your Grandpa, that you all will find comfort soon no matter the outcome.
