I'm sitting down in the lab in the ELC (The enhanced Learning Center), one of the general access labs that we have here at the university. There are at the moment, absolutely no people here at Gregson, my dorm. Because the regular summer dorm is about a half of a mile away and across a busy street which I don't wish to cross for fear of breaking in to a million pieces. So I'm here, in my normal room, with no internet connection wireless or wired. Supposedly, the Advanced Placement Institute is coming here today, so all the rooms are open, but no one's at the front desk, and I've got the lab completely to myself. So if anyone wants to come on over here either virtually or in the flesh, we could have one hell of a party. At the moment though, its quite lonely. In the middle of the moving process, not only did we figure out the my ID card wouldn't work on all of the doors due to an overlooked security flaw which would possibly have left me locked out for days, but my mom got a parking ticket. I hate using my dog to get special treatment but its amazing how the girl who oddly sounded like a robot asking for my mom's address, changed when she got to see the dog. The ticket got erased, and now we know that we can pretty much park anywhere if we call a special top secret number and give the reason whywe need to park there.
It will make moving a much less stressful experience for my mom.
I've got to make several calls or email people, if I can, so I can get my academics moving foward because I refuse to stay here in this quiet place without doing nothing. I never thought I would say thins, but being home really would be better than being here with no one here. There are people here but still, I'll take annoying dogs to play with any day over complete quiet. At least Fiona's here.
Now must see if I can make it over to the union. Though its an easy thing to do, I haven't traveled much lately.
