NCAA Basketball, St. Patrick's Day, and my screwed up mouth @ 01:07 pm

It's neat to be able to listen to the NCAA games on the internet for sure. Not a very typical and usable (accessible) page, but it works reasonably. I've got Georgia Tech picked to beat UNLV in my bracket, and the game is close, so I hope the the underdog wins, as it should be :). I watched a game last night between number 8 BYU and number 9 Xavier. I was going for BYU, because I had no idea how good either team was. It was a close game, and the best I'd listened to yesterday. Number 12 Arkansas plays number 5 USC tonight, and I truly think Arkansas has a chance to not only do well, but also even win.

I'm still not sure if I'm going to have to walk over to Bell today; I'm not sure what needs to be accomplished before spring break. I'm still not sure, absolutely sure, that my friend John is coming, but he's planning to, and if he appears, it will be a really cool thing since I haven't seen him since he left University of Arkansas to go teach at Arkansas State.

There's and activity at church tonight. They say it's a combination dance / karioke / etc. type thing. I'm not hugely excited about it, but there will be food and good company, so I plan to go. I've done dj work for the past three dances, so it will be nice to not have to manage that, though I like djing, and I do a good job. I may leave early so I can watch the game, though they say they may show the game as well. I just don't know how they're planning to do all of those things in the little building we have. Usually we have over 50 people come to these things, and we have dances at bigger buildings. There should be less people due to spring break. I don't think I can void going for sure though because it is the "St. Patrick's Day" activity. ANything remotely Celtic I must participate in. Hopefully they'll at least have some Celtic music. If not, I'll be disappointed. I might covertly sabotage the music and ge at least a tune or two on :).

I have a call into the dentist because somehow I've cut the gum right near my teeth, and it's opened up a major sore in my mouth, especially when I eat. He's in Florida at the moment, and they say he'll probably call in this afternoon, and I hope he does, because I really want this thing to heal. I's been screwed up now for about five days.

That's about all, I'll write more soon. Must use my paid membership for something rather than just have my account sit dormant and forget all of what I've done.

Those of you who have XM, check out XM Green on xm 200. THey have reasonable Celtic music on ther. It's not great, but what can you expect. It's close to St. Patrick's Day, and that's awesome.

Typical Blogging Idiot

I tuned over to the XM Green music on xmradio.com and it was fantastic. Wolftones, Chieftains, The Black Family. A nice mix of well known and obscure artists. Your "it's not great, but what can you expect comment" is typical of online idjits like you who take pot shots at others great work. Why don't you try to do something positive? I feel bad for you having to dump on good things to make yourself feel important.

Re: Typical Blogging Idiot

I agree with you, for what it is (an outline of traditional Irish music) it is really good and I have listened to it most of the day. The reason why I said it wasn't great was because I tend to listen to more non traditional and even Scotish music, and because of the charactaristic of the channel, I wasn't enamored of it. I'm a Wolfstones (Scotish), Afro Celt Sound System and other off the cuff Celtic music fan, and that's why I said what I said.

I must give it to XM for providing three days of Celtic music on the satellite and not on the internet only. They have always been good about that.

Sorry I didn't explain myself further, and I doubt you'll ever actually read this comment, but it IS good for what the channel is trying to do, it's just not my most favorite type of Celtic music. Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone.
