The politics of gun control has already been brought in to the discussion by those who think gun control is going to stop random acts. Guns are not bad they are a tool like anything else and given your use of and dependency on tools I would not expect you to fall prey to the group think that is out there today. If we ban guns, what else should we ban? Cars? knives? electricity? fire? Lets close the boarders while we're at it and with that closure of the boarders lets shut down the student visa program as well. Misuse of a tool by a single nutcake is not sufficient justification for banning that tool.

It's all too complicated. If we ban guns, people will still get them, and we'll still have terrorism and violence. That was created the same moment guns and unpowder were created and improved upon. I know you feel passionate about gun control and I respect that, and I must say, the more I think about that, the more I agree with you. I'm not a fan of guns. THey tend to cause destruction ad sadness, and they are the centerpiece of war but since they are available, we must have them so that we'll have something to defend ourselves with against the crazy people. Banning guns won't solve the problem that we see now. It's my choice not to like guns, but that doesn't mean I'm going to say that government should control things. As happened when abortion was banned, it still happened. I don't agree with abortion, and I probably shouldn't have brought up the A Word, but I believe that whatever is illegal, people will obtain. Much has been written, much has been studied, but there are my views on the whole thing. Would be happy to know what you think about these comments. 73

First lets start with the understanding that supreme court ruling not withstanding there is no constitutional right to abortion. You cannot show me anywhere where such right is granted. Abortion should never have become a federal question but it is now settled precident. We may have to work on the rest of your comments when you are more alert.
