I've just finished doing my laundry, and though I know it is insanely late, I don't think I'll be able to fall asleep right away, so I'm going to get this journal entry out of the way, and then maybe after that, I'll be able to wind down enough to sleep. I also just finished getting a lesson together for church tomorrow/today. I'm going to be teaching one of the classes (it's my calling to teach once a month), and I really really hope I can do a good job. I think I have it together as far as what I'm going to say, but I hope people have lots of comments. Comments are good because I learn, they learn, and we take up time :).

This morning, I went to the Alpha Chi Sigma (the chemistry professional fraternity) semianual initiation. We only initiated two pledges, one of which was the person who lived in Wil's room (next door to me in this suite). It was cool to see Chris in AXE, and hopefully he'll remain active and not just join so he's got something good to put on the resume. He won't, but so many that join seem to be doing it just to have something good to look at on their resumes. We got things all done in record time. That even included eating some tasty barbecue. We were out of there and everything was all cleaned up by like 2, which is pretty good considering we've done initiations that lasted 14 hours or so in previous times.

I went home teaching with my friend Remington at about 4:30. We ended up going by one person's apartment and they weren't there, but we ended up teaching someone a lesson. This was good because it made us feel like we were actually doing some good. We've got some difficult people on our list though, so we're hoping that we can reach out to them and get them back to going to church more often or for the first time.

We went over to Remington's girlfriend's work after that to pick her up so we could go out to eat some tasty Mexican food. She works at Avalon, a health food / Indian foodplace. I was glad to go because I was able to see if I could find some vitamins that had a limited supply of calcium in them. Since I have too much calcium in my bones, I try not to eat too much of it, especially if I go back on my calcium leaching medicine again. I found some multis that have 1% clcium RDA (recommended daily allowance) and that's awesome, considering that a slice of American cheese has 10%. They are capsules, which I'm not used to multivitamins being made of, and they seem to have good stuff in them, so we'll see if I see a change in my energy level. I don't eat unhealthily, but I stopped taking multivitamins when I realized how much calcium were in the normal store brands. So I was really excited!

-Elanita's was pretty good. Remington served his mission as a Spanish speaker near El Paso and Tucson, and I just speak a bit of Spanish, so we both ordered in Spanish and impressed the waitress. She didn't speak much English to us once she found out we both spoke Spanish.I had my customary Chimmichanga Pollo (chicken chimichanga), and it was good, but there was a bit too much cheese inside the chimmi for my liking. It was kinda like a chicken enchilada rather than what I'm used to, which is just chicken and sauce inside a fried flour tortilla. Oh well, I enjoyed it and definitely enjoyed the company.

I finished The Prestige today as well. I won't go into detail right now, perhaps tomorrow I'll write my thoughts on it, but suffice it to say awallens was right in saying that the ending was odd to say the least. The book was odd full stop, but anyway. Suppose I'll see the movie just so that I can say I'm one of the few to have read the book as well as watched the movie.

Well, 9's going to come very soon, so I better go. Oh yea, just found out that people with a disability can get free webscription books from Baen. Baen Publishing publishes some of my favorite science fiction, and webscriptions provides etexts of all of its books. When my app gets processed, I'll have access to even the advanced reader copies, so that's awesome. All for free. I guess it's cool to be blind sometimes!

More soon.
