I haven't been doing anything too exciting since I last wrote. I went to the orthopedist on Friday, and got my tteth cleaned, all in the same day, so didn't work. The ortho guys said that I had tennis elbow, and said that it probably was caused by repetitive motion (something I suspected as well). They gave me a cortezone shot in the joint, and though it was extremely painful after they gave it to me and swelled up, it's so much better than it was. Definitely worth the initial pain.
I went fishing on Saturday with Hop and anotehr guy from work. We decided to fish for rainbow trout on the Clinch river, and though I was extrememly tired due to a satisfying long phone call the previous evening, it was a fun trip. I ended up catching on small trout about seven inches long. We ended up throwing it back, but I don't think it actually made it because it was out of the water too long because the guys wanted to get a picture of me and it. We got back about 8 or so, and then I remembered that I had to do a Sunday school lesson the next day. Cursing, figuratively of course, I tried to prepare. It ended up going surprisingly well, but I definitely had my doubts.
I'm blaming the noncreative nature of this entry on the fact that I ate way too much steak, cookies, peach cobbler, and other things, and I'm still suffering from the effects of too much food and too little sleep. My new friend Holly came to visit yesterday, so we spent most of the day that wasn't occupied with church or eating talking about anything and everything. She's a really cool person, and I've enjoyed getting to know her the past couple of weeks.
I should get to Salt Lake by about 1:40 mountain time. I'm not exactly sure what we'll do today, but I'm thinking I'll vote for doing not much touristy and trying to recover until the madness that will be conference and it's preceeding activities happen later on in the week. The Smiths (a couple of ex-missionaries that served in Fayetteville) will be meeting me, and I"m really excited to see them. I'm really excited about this trip. It will be an experience to be in Utah and Idaho as I haven't ever been in that part of the country before. Also being around the number of church members as will be there will be kind of neat.
Before I bore myself, and definitely the reader, I'll close. Monitor the tag SLC Trip as I may backdate entries. That way the interested will know what's going on with me.
