Fiona and me in the snow

(no subject)

I have calmed down enough to successfully do no work. Helped amazingstar with some physics homework. I really love tutoring people. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to go to bed but I'm having to do this crappy technical support for Stream madness. Its the age old question "uh I don't know how to broadcast, will you help me?" at which point I scream.

Dude, I checked Rate My Professors and put in Jong's name. Hilarious some of the people's ratings. Thank god I don't have to take him two semesters in a row, Statics for the first semester, dynamics for second. Civil engineers and Mechanical engineers have to take both of those classes. By the way, he got an overall rating of 2 out of 5 with 5 being the best. Some stupid idiot rated him as straight 5s, give me a break. Cool site though let me tell you.

Well time for bed, I'll post from my office as I don't have to go to statics. Must work on computer methods though :(. Hope everyone is well, curling up with a nice warm puppy sounds like a really good idea right now so I'll be back tomorrow. All the best.

Uncles, huricanes, and classes, how do they relate?

Huricane Isabel is in full force along the east coast. I can imagine how I'd fair, I'd be blowing all over the place wondering where Toto is and how I can get to Kansas fast enough.

Also on the slate for today, I get to be an uncle * 3. Aparently it will happen some time today Alaska time, so I'll be sure to update on what *her* name is.

My ear is somewhat plugged up stil but doesn't hurt, its more of an annoyance now. I'm still taking antibiotics or I should say I'm continuing to take antibiotics and hope that it will help me.

I skipped not only statics today but electric circuits because there was a slight snafoo with the cart. So I've been sitting here listening to news reports coming in about the huricane. Suppose I should throw on some pants (I do have clothes on just shorts), and get ready to go to Analytical lab and class. Can't wait. Thanks for all your supportive comments, glad to know people read this journal.

The world has just been increased by one. I got a call while at Brough to tell me taht my yet unnamed niece has arrived and is very healthy. She's 7pounds 6 ounces and was born at 3:15 Alaskan time, 6:15 my time. My brother says he'll leave the house for good when they all become teenagers. I feel his pain, it'll be hell over there. I'll have to come up at that time and give him a break so he can like escape into the wilderness. We could get lost or something.

No, I'm very happy that I'm uncle Noel times 3, should make for an interesting Christmas as the uncle tree grows and I have to fork oue for gifts, it'll rock! :P

In other news, today was quite uneventful. Sadly enough I'm getting used to the lab length. Four hours just doesn't seem to last as long for some odd reason I don't know why. Its not that we're having great fun, but the time seems to slip by quickly, call me sick.

... Two hours later ...

I just got off the phone with this guy who I forgot in my delirious state that he was going to call me tonight about broadcasting. He's from Ethiopia and had to deal with lots of language barrier issues + the fact that he's totally new at broadcasting, but we got him hooked up with a stream madness server and all is good. I'm just now tired as hell and I have no idea how I'll do my computer methods tonight which was the plan.

My ear has started to drain a bit which is both good and bad. Good because I think I'm getting better, bad because my hearing kind of sloshes once in a while. As I walk it sounds like I've got a swimming pool rolling around in my ear. I still have to take decongestants, but overall, I think I'm doing better.

Sorry for the rambling of this entry, I'm feeling scattered tonight :(. More later when I'm feeling creative.
