Fiona and me in the snow

(no subject)

I haven't written for a while because my weekend consisted of boring technical stuff (going around town to fix a nonexistent cel phone problem) ad bsing with my computer (see Saturday's entry). So I felt that it wasn't too important that I fill you in with all the boring technical details.

I continue to continue on in life as you tend to do when at home. I do keep my mind busy with classes, so that is a good thing definitely. Today for example, I don't only have my two classes, but I have the extra design class for once, which will be fun. We have one more project to go over so it'll be interesting to see if I can organize doing a presentation from here. I've heard there are presentation software for the net out there, even ones for my phone, but I haven't played with them at all. AT&T will cuss me for this distance ed thing as I'm spending all of my class time on the phone, 9 hours +- and group meetings, all long distance.

Last night, Philip came over here to stay the night because he had come into the airport from a trip late. Its still weird to think that he will be my brother-in-law. Especially so because we were good card playing friends in high school, and he had no idea about my sister at that time. One of these days I'll relate that story to you guys, I think my time is growing short though since class probably starts in eight minutes.

Well screw it.

Me and Philip went to a school in summer of our eleventh, going to twelfth grade at a place fcalled Governor's School. Its basically a school created for gifted and tallented kids who want to expand their minds. You have to specialize in a topic, so I was in it for natural sciences, naturally, and Philip was in it for Choral music. We stayed in the same dorm being that our names were relatively close to each oter alphabetically, and I'd known him earlier at some church camps, so we started talking and of course playing card. One very memorable moment was once when my family came (my sister, my mom, and even my Aunt from Arizona) to visit and pick me up, they all met Philip. Little did they know, he would become a part of my family, mostly due to that one meeting.

He asked me last week if I wanted to be a groomsman in the wedding and though being a groomsman entails just standing there and looking handsome, its awesome.

Well, its about time for class, and also time for me to refill my coffee cup. MOre later if I'm bored.

I'm definitely progressing

I felt good enough to stand on one leg for about ten minutes to make a mocha. And A tasty mocha it is let me tell you. I'm feeling the caffeine already.

I attended all of my classes today, and even though I didn't actually go there, I felt tired after it all. Its difficult to listen to people via a speakerphone and try to sift through the background noise and try to also listen to people in the class's questions. I imagine what I'm experiencing is kind of like what a person with a hearing aid might feel.

I finished scanning my interlibrary loan books so now I get to spend a while looking through the three books I have to submit and see how they actually scan. I've got it down now so that I can do pretty clean scans but I always check it out for sure.

Before I close this amazingly short post, short for me taht is, I'll post this. Kind of funny and definitely expressive of my friends page.
