Fiona and me in the snow

How many wives do you have, and other fascinating questions about the Mormon: Lj Idol, week 6

So You’re a Mormon now? Wow! Um … ur … how many wives do you want to have?

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (The Mormon Church) a bit over a year ago. Joining the Mormon church isn’t as simple or earth-shattering as say … oh, I don’t know … joining the Baptists or the Methodists. Here in the South, those churches are a dime a dozen, and Mormon churches are few and far between. That doesn’t mean that we aren’t any closer or further from God than the odd Baptist, but people who live in the Bible belt are used to the religions that they’ve grown up with, that have been around for a few hundred years.

(no subject)

This will be a very short (I almost wrote shirt) entry being that I need to get up earlyish, and being that I just wrote shirt rather than short. My last entry wasn't that short, so I'll keep this one short as possible and update once we get to Arkansas. I'll just say that my interviews, yes I said interviews, went very well. I did a quasi-interview with Y-12 today where I did a presentation about my technology. I'll update on the complete details, but at least now, you should know that it is now time for me to wait, and decide what to do when or if any offers come in.

Holly and I will leave for Arkansas tomorrow morning, and provided she feels ok throughout the day, we will make it there in the evening. We rented a car for the trip there, and it should be a comfortable and roomy ride, I just hope it's not going to totally drain Holly. She's had a tough last couple of weeks, and I'd like this trip to be fun and relaxing rather than difficult and annoying. I think it will be the former. Until I get there though, I'll wrie agan. More then.
