AT&T mass mass emails, and lj idol craziness

I came back today to an email box filled with about 21 messages from AT&T customer care, all of them saying exactly the same thing, and all of them welcoming me to my new account. They all came within 40 seconds of each other. I wonder how many poor souls got the same onslaught, and I feel sorry for the poor IT guy who probably had to fix the problem.

I didn't do a whole heck of a lot today, but got my ETEC presentation finalized and started working on massaging the one for Monday. I also spent time on email, Facebook, and this online game I've been playing, and I read my friends list.

Thanks awallens I've gotten sucked into signing up for the LJ Idol Contest. It may be a really bad idea because though I love to write (I am prolific), I fear that my style may not be creative enough, or good enough, but I figured I'd throw myself into the fray (or to the dogs) if you will. So every week (until I get eliminated), you'll see an entry from me over a particular topic. I'll try to make it interesting, but it will break the monotony of "today I did this, and then I did this" which seems to be the norm for this journal.

Not much else going on, so I'll leave it here until next time.
