Re: More Irony!

Sweet. I never refuse the comfort, support, and companionhip of a good bud. THow's the seeing Jessie (spelling?) every week thing going? And here's another question. Do you think theree'll be a way that we can invent some cosmic way for weekends to come more often?

P.S. I've started inventing e "girlfriend TLC Spritz" but she's not around enough for me to sample and distill that love yet.

Keep it real.

Re: More Irony!

Hey, sorry to take so long to reply. I'm just getting to the last of my huge comment backlog and I had a folder with some that needed extra thought to do. ;-)

I'm surprised that you had such a hard time with Eharmony- I met tons of nice people on there!

Holly sounds unbelievable! What a magical story- the irony of a visual artist and a visually impaired love! My friend Paige has a similarly touching story. All I get to say back is "Really? Jessi and I went apple picking then to a tractor pull on our first date!" lol. i really hope it works out, though. You've got a huge heart and there's a good person out there somewhere that deserves it.

I bought Jessi her gift! It's diamond earrings. After stopping there and looking at the pendant, I hated it. I went to 16 more places and called her mom before I found something that I knew she'd like. ;-)

Holly sounds amazing- like you, I know I've found "the one". Just be careful- a month isn't a whole lot of time to base that on. People have layers- see what else is under there. ;-)

As always, thank you so much for your thoughts, my friend!

I think I'll screen that last bit in case Jessi hops over here and sees what you're getting, never done it so who knows.

Well, I did eharmony for like three years and never had any luck with it. Every time I'd get communicating with people, they would get to the last step and either not communicate or just drop off of the face of the earth.

Like I said before, I had planned to leave here in three months from my internship, go back to Arkansas and start my PHD in chemical engineering.

Then, I met Holly.

Holly and Noel. Everyone says our names are so cute together and that we are too. She's the most understanding, accepting, encouraging, and loving person I've ever met. All of the rejection, pain, and loss I've suffered in the past are ok now (at the risk of sounding entirely too sappy) until I met her. Oh yeah, it's gotta be good when she's supportive to my Lj Idol addiction. Holly is a portrait artist, and is very visual. This is what's pretty amazing about our relationship. Holly, an artist in the visual arts dates myself, someone who can and never will be able to enjoy, firsthand, her art. We've been together for a bit over a month now.

Too bad that you won't get to see her this weekend. I know how you feel though, it's total agony when you can't be with that person as much as you want. I'll see HOlly this weekend and during Thanksgiving, but there will be other times (over Christmas and the subsequent few weeks) when I'll be in Arkansas and she will be here in Tennessee. That's going to suck.

I don't know exactly what I will get her for Christmas, but I do have ideas. We'll be looking for rings in the oming months.

It's really scary to say this, but she's got to be the one, pure and simple. I should ahve written about that as my terrifying thing, because that very thought terrifies me. NOt that being with her terrifies me, but that I feel like I can say without a doubt that she's "the one". Never thought I could say that, but they say you know when it happens ... and I now understand what they're talking about.

Ok, I'll stop the sap now. Thank goodness we don't have to check our Eharmony boxes and sift through our matches anymore eh? Ah the relief.

P.S. Sounds like a pretty pendant. Holly would kill me if I got her something that expensive, but then she'd accept it I guess ;).
