I think the Razorback nation is kind of insane...in the past few years, it seems like they've run off the basketball coach and now the football coach that made them relevant...I mean, I don't even remember watching Arkansas play a game before Nutt was there...I guess in the coming years it will be up to Ole Miss to stop LSU from taking over the world.

I think it's a travesty that we've run off two good coaches. Look at LSU though, they lost 2 games, and they're pissed off at Les Miles. If they lose to Tennessee, and then lose their bowl game, he could be gone too. Not likely, but still.

In basketball, Arkansas had the Crayton coach hired, he did a press conference talking about what he would do as a coach, and then he backed out the next day.

I just hope that the new athletic director can sort things out, otherwise, it will be Arkansas with a 2 and 10 record and Ole Miss winning the SEC west.

It's not all the coach, but when you haev a whole state who is yelling at you to leave even if it's been the player's fault, that's a bad sign, and a sad state of affairs.

I guess other schools are worse with running off coaches, but Arkansas doesn't need to become one of this six coaches in six years schools.

I know Houston Nutt somewhat, personally, and I'll miss the guy. That doesn't matter though.

I think Miles is as good as gone anyway...his team may have given up on him because they know he wants the Michigan job...I don't think he's a good coach anyway...he was lucky to be handed the keys to a Cadillac when Saban left...but he also should have lost against Kentucky this year.

The thing with Arkansas is the fan expectations get to high, I think...they aren't LSU or Alabama, and they probably never will be...I lived in Columbia, SC, for a while and the Gamecocks fans were the same way...chase off Lou Holtz, who made them somewhat relevant, because they aren't happy just winning 9 games...they want to be the next Florida...but they don't have Florida's money or great high school prospects...and they are always going to lose a lot of in-state prospect to Tenn and Clemson and UGA.

At least Arkansas more or less has a monopoly on Arkansas boys.

True that on having a monopoly. Though sometimes Arkansas players go to other strong schools. I think that Arkansas has a chance to be a good team, and do well (there was a time when Florida wasn't that good, and wasn't hugely competitive in football), but they definitely probably won't be like a Kentucky in basketball. When you're (The Razorbacks) are the only team in the state, that's why there's such a high expectation. I just think that I want the best for Arkansas because I'm a fan. I have high expectations because I have high expectations for all of the teams I support. I won't, for example, say, I'm a fan of team X, but I don't expect them to do well.

It will be interesting, should Les Miles leave LSU, to see what coach will go there. It wil be interesting to see what coach Arkansas gets. As the World Turns, we will find out I guess.

South Carolina impressed me at first, but then they kind of fell apart. I wish Georgia and LSU were playing, that would be a closer ame. Who knows, if LSU does not play to the best of their efforts, they will lose, simple as that.

I just heard on ESPN that LSU has granted Miles permission to interview at Michigan, and he apparently has an out clause in his contract specifically for Michigan.

As a Georgia Tech alum, I always want to see Georgia lose. Also, I know about having reasonable expectations. I know we will never be FSU in the 90s...we don't have that kind of money for athletics and aren't willing to compromise academic standards for athletes (although we COULD be a basketball powerhouse). So I don't expect to be in the national title picture...but I do expect to compete for an ACC title every few years, have a 10 win season every now and then, and BEAT UGA. (And that's why Chan Gailey was fired Monday...even though he never had a losing season.)

The thing with Florida is they probably have the best high school football prospects in the nation, along with Texas and California...PLUS, it's a desirable location. So the foundation was there when Spurrier came in...same as Bowden at FSU...and now the guy as USF who seems to be doing well.

Razorback Nation has always been this insane. I remember when there was grumblings of how Broyles had run off the best basketball coach (Sutton) and football coach (Holtz) in the country and there was no way we could recover.

But we did.
