Every scar has a story - Lj Idol Week 9 @ 10:46 am

Tags:

I was in the land of the gum tree and the billibong, the vegemite sandwich and the meat pie, the land with funny accents, vowels drawn out like kite strings. It was a Monday, or was it a Thursday, I didn't care or know, this was vacation, and days were lost to me. There were no finals, no assignments, no classes to worry about, I was determined to make this vacation timeless. I wasn't worried about going into the rain forest that day, it would be a 'you beauty' adventure, and I was ready.

The real storyCollapse )

This was great!! I wrote an entry on Dropbears for the urban legends topic, so these two go well together.

At least you only had to smear toothpaste on your collar, not vegemite all over your neck and face as the tour guide in my entry advised.

I think I wrote to you ages ago when you were either thinking of coming to Australia to study, or when you were here. Were you studying at the University of Newcastle?

I studied at Newcastle. Didn't get to read the urban legends topics (holidays and such), so sorry if I rewrote stuff you'd already told. Hope it was a different tilt.

You probably did write me, not sure who you are though for sure. Massage my memory a bit or email me at djner@livejournal.com if you don't want your comment on the journal.

What a wonderful experience being able to study in the land of my ancestors. BTW, good memory!
