Magpies live in Australia, they are birds. YOu could probably find them on google or something, a picture of them that is. Swooping seaason happens in late winter or earli spring from about now till about late AUgust. Magpies are very territorial with their nests and young, so if you walk even remotely near where they are they're bound to swoop down really fast and make lal kinds of really scary noises to try to scare you. They will peck your head if you're not careful, so many people wear hats with buttons on the back of them to freak the magpies out and think that you're always looking at them. Some people also carry sticks above their heads ready to beat them off if they swoop.

Away from swooping season I really like magpies, their song is very pretty. But when they swoop, they screech, and its all freaky man.
