Class was class and not too exciting at that. It seems to be all kind of a review for me at least the first month does since I've had my tuesday thursday classes already. I came back and 4reapplied for network access, again. I had reapplied like two times before but for some odd reason, I was not authenticated. Very odd.
Sure enough and a great birthday present it was, I was granted access very quickly after I applied. So now I don't have to tie up my phone line to write journal entries or download files. Very nice stuff.
I went down stairsa nd played with the wireless network down tehre and then me and Chris went to the union to have mochas and also to escape the fire drill. I don't get it. It was so widely publicized that the fire drill was going to be at 4:30 that I have no idae how it actually was a fire drill because everyone who was someone knew when it was. So anyway, we escaped.
While down there, I got a call from my sister who very enthusiastically wished me Happy Birthday. She wanted to know if I wanted to go eat somewhere and I of course said sure. Anything's better than Brough.
So me and Chris had our tasty mochas and came back here, and got ready to come. In the space of ten minutes, I got a call from Julie, and Lindsey both very nicely wishing me happy birthday. I was amazed and very happy that they called as they're some of my best friends that I've made on Live Jouranl, too cool. I look forward to many more conversations with those guys, they both crack me up and I think likewise.
We went ot The Taste of Thai, probably my most favorite restaurant in Fayetteville. Thai food is great, and very tailor made too. Its so neat, you can rate your spiciness by number, so you can suit the meal to your taste rather than just getting what you get and that's that. I got a nubmer two spicy yellow curry. Yellow curry has curry, coconut milk, potatoes, carrots, and some bamboo shoots all mixed together. It rocks, and is my favorite meal from there. I've been going to this particular Thai place for about five years, as long as I've been living in Fayetteville, and I still love it. I even got to know the owners. I learned how to say happy birthday in Thai, and I actually forgot how to say it :(. They gave me free ice cream, and the lady who served us sang happy birthday with us. It was so cool.
So now I'm just sitting here being thankful. I'm thankful that I have so many caring friends. Thankful that I'm here at the university, doing well, and feeling motivated. I'm thankful that I've been around through all the obstacles in my life for these 24 years. And most of all, I'm thankful that I had the myriad of well wishes taht I've been getting today from various people. It really makes me feel loved and everyone's got to have those "I feel loved" days to keep them going in a positive direction. Wow!!!
