Ner's Random Musings on a life of interesting insights

a world of interesting factoids about nothing and everything

Since we last talked/I wrote, I was talking about the ice storm that we were supposed to get. Well, it really didn't happen, at all. Nothing came. It sleeted for a while, and there was some ice, but temperatures rose a couple of degrees above freezing that evening and by the morning all the ice and sleet was melted away, a distant memory. It was dry enough this morning to let the temperatures drop to 16 degrees with almost 0 wind chills. brrrr

I've now gotten my new laptop. Yay. Its so small its almost micometrically small. I love it. Now my professor (beitle) is happy and I am too because I'll be able to do work, which is what I'm using it for now, I am, really!

So I'm now here at the coffee shop drinking my customary grande mocha with an extra shot and considering doing work, which is very hard now that I have the wireless internet at my fingertips though people aren't really talking to me. Perhaps I should install AIM, not to self, do that after I finish here. I only have so much time as I decided to go light rather than have the seven hours of use that comes from the dual batteries.

I had a very good show today at KXUA. I did have to go back to my room once after forgetting some cables which was bad. The problem was that Fiona really wanted to go to the library and not back to Gregson. Otherwise, it was a good show if you don't count our illustrious program director coming in and telling me that "You can't play that." To check that I had listeners which I did thank goodness, I asked people to guess the artist of the Celtic song I was playing, even though the artist isn't really Celtic. So I played Metallica's Whiskey in the Jar. He said that I couldn't play it because it wasn't Celtic; when I played the actual Celtic version, he looked stupid. Oh the greatness of our program director. I am so glad I don't have that job.

No need to talk about my last night's disastrous show; no need at all; it would spoil the goodness of this mocha I'm drinking.

I haven't been up to much lately which is pretty much why I haven't been writing in here. I've just been doing work and/or thinking of doing work, which would be boring to you the reader if I wrote that day in and day out.

Well, I'm running out of things to say, so I suppose I'll sign off and continue drinking/installing.

Oh, my god.

It's your show. Tell him to go back to ear-raping the rotation listeners.

It was funny because, when I played that metalica, I went on to play the actual version of the song, then I played great Celtic covers of top 40 songs, like Its the End of the World As We know it, and Crash by Dave Matthews, it was great!
