I did read that entry and I appreciate your support :). I'm not there yet, haven't figured out the bet way if it were to become more religious, but I'm enjoying meeting new people and seeing new angles. Its cool.

I understand completely. I'll be the first to say that I still haven't gotten everything figured out. I mean, I think that I'm cool with the basics of my faith, but there are still some "deeper" theological issues that I have yet to resolve.

Just out of curiosity, are you planning on seeing the Passion of the Christ? I would, if I could actually locate a theatre which provides video discription/subtitle narration. After all, though I believe I could translate the Latin, I would have to at least have the Aramaic subtitles read aloud to me and that could get distracting to others. BTW, do you know if there are any foreign films w/ subtitles out there that have been described? I have yet to locate anything of this kind.

I doubt I would see that film, mostly because of the subtitles. I also am not sure if I completely agree with the angle that is being protrayed there, but of course that I would have to see for myself by seeing the film. My issue is that it seems as if many people are using the film not as a history or study of Christianity but also as an evangelical tool. This I don't agree with; I think that you should do your best to figure out your faith yourself, not have it told to you and just believe it face value.

I don't know of any foreign films that are described; because of copyright law and distribution issues, it's difficult to get rights to describe. Even ds doesn't describe independent films etc.; corporate america in action.

Actually, I don't mind that it's being used as an "evangelical tool". I honestly don't mind (and never have minded) people sharing their views with me (as long as they make an honest attempt to see where I'm coming from and to explain why the believe the way they do), and, Christians are, after all, called by the verys Scriptures upon which they base their faith, to share it with others. Also, I think that it is always beneificial to hear the testimonies/experiences of those who are members of a particular faith rather than simply to read about it on a purely academic/theoretical level.

Well, I've got to get to writing another of my own entries... TTYL.

Oh, BTW< I have recently discovered ACB Radio's new chat room as well as www.for-the-people.com . Very cool sites! I should be hitting both of those a little later today.
